Description:

Submitting a new Mac application to a popular software tracking website (Download.com, MacUpdate, Softpedia...) sounds easy.  It maybe is if you assume that nothing goes wrong on their side.  The fact is that you can end up getting redirected to an empty page because of their website's server error.  Sometimes, your web browser can quit itself all of a sudden, losing all the progress you've made.  Sometimes, their website is inaccessible when you want to submit a new software update.  On the other hand, one common mistake that you can make on your side is to give them a URL as a file location that does not exist.  Anyhow, you'd better keep an eye to their website's software list for the next several hours because, whatever the reason is, there is no guarantee that they will list your software submission.  Well, the best you can do is to make sure that the file path is correct.  And...  Wait, when did you submit your software update?

VersionsX is a software title that is designed to help developers document version history for any number of software titles.  Every time you create a new software version profile, VersionsX can access the given URL constantly to see if the software file you designate is accessible.  Don't worry about tagging each line with <li> when you write software changes because VersionsX can do it when you generate a software update summary.

1. The user can drag and drop an application (icon) directly onto VersionsX.  If it's an existing application, then VersionsX will automatically sets the application drop-down menu accordingly.  If it's a new application, then VersionsX will get ready to register a new application.
2. The application will check the available resolution of the computer used by the user.  If it doesn't meet the minimum resolution set by the application, the user will be prompted with a confirmation dialog.
3. The user has an option of letting the Info window follow the main window.  See Preferences.  Enable the checkbox labeled Follow by Info to let the Info window follow the main window.
4. If the user has not set the default web browser, clicking on the Show button on the main window will prompt a message.
5. A dozen other minor changes and fixes are made.

1. Numerous changes are made in order to make the application compatible with Mac App Store requirements.

1.2.4b to 1.2.6b (March 25, 2011)

1. Fix: When the user opened Preferences while the main window is out of Desktop coordinates, they could not close the Preferences window.
2. Change: The user no longer has to wait for one second in quitting the application.
3. Change: A checkbox is removed on the main window. Instead, a new toolbar button is installed for opening software information.
4. The user interface has changed as a whole a little on the main window.

1.2.2b to 1.2.4b (February 26, 2011)

1. Fix: The application could hang up if the user enabled 'URL Verification' under Settings2 in Preferences.
2. URL verification's time interval is revised to 3 seconds. It was 1.5 seconds.
3. Fix: The user was not able to create or revise accounts under the Web tab.
4. A few other minor changes are made.

1.2.0b to 1.2.2b (February 22, 2011)

1. Change: The vertical scrollbar is removed from all multi-line text area controls as they it can partially break the window user interface.
2. Fix: The default web browser that the user may have selected in Preferences was not utilized with all web buttons.
3. Preferences: Additional options are added under Settings2.
4. A dozen other minor changes and fixes are done.

1.1.8b to 1.2.0b (February 15, 2011)

1. When the user publishes a software update, the application will automatically check the connectivity of three URLs. (Developer site, Web site and Download URL) If any of them is not accessible, the corresponding 'check accessibility' button will have an 'inaccessible' picture on it.
2. The user can now run a search to find an application to work on.
3. The user can now save changes while publishing a software update. Go to File > Save.
4. Several other changes are made. For example, see what's added under the Settings2 tab in Preferences.

1.1.5b to 1.1.7b (January 12, 2011)

1. Fix: The position of the main window was not saved when the user closed Preferences.
2. Change: The developer information (Preferences > Developer) is saved in a database for reliability. This information must be filled again because of this change.

1. Preferences: The user can set their default web browser used with this application under the System files tab.
2. Clicking on the Show button on the main window, the application will launch user-defined web browser to see version changes.
3. Fix: Clicking on the Show button after exporting a graphic file, the application did not open the folder containing the file.
4. Fix: A rescaled picture was not available for PNG images on the export window.
5. The application will regenerate missing application files if there are at the time of startup.
6. Several more help tags are added.

1. The Download button is now available for each version.
2. When the user publishes a version release, they can enclose the long description with <p>.
3. The price field is now available when the user creates a new software profile.
