There are many spin-off games out of Civilization III and Civilization IV. This one is not an expansion pack. So you don't need the original Civilization IV pack. The entire game data takes up only 844 MB or so. We have also confirmed that Civilization IV: Colonization is compatible with VMware Fusion 2.0. There is no guarantee that you will get to play the game to the end, though. |

Left 4 Dead

√ |

Developer: Valve Corporation
Distributor: Electronic Arts
PC release date: November 18, 2008
Genre: First-person shooting, action
GameSpot rating: 8.5/10
GameSpy rating: 4.5/5
This is an interesting zombie-busting action game where you play one of four characters - Francis, Bill, Pancho and Louis. There are several campaigns, each of which comes with five chapters. You can play any campaign/chapter at any time.
If you set the video resolution to 1920 x 1200, the game play can be a little slow. Also, the game can sometimes quit itself in the middle of playing. If you can, you probably want to wait for them to release a bug fix. |

After the female boss retreats at the beginning, you will get to save game. Then your immediate goal is to reach a gate. Before or after you reach the gate and meet the female boss again, the game freezes. After a few seconds of waiting, the game screen will become entirely dark. There is no way of your going back to the desktop. So you will be forced to restart your Mac. |

Genre: Offroad racing
GameSpot rating: N/A
GameSpy rating: N/A
It has a nice graphic quality. It's not an ordinary racing game. I don't know what you call this type of vehicles - dune buggy? Anyway, the only trouble we observe with this game is loading time. It'll take 30 seconds or longer to load data for a large course. In addition, after completing a race, you will be asked if you want to do it all over again by pressing F12. If you have a Mac with a new flat keyboard, you can't press it because this button is used for audio increase. Of course, that's not game developer's fault. Anyway, if you press the return key, you will go back to your profile screen or whatever. And it'll take another 20 seconds or so to get there. It could be a fun game, but you will need a lot of patience. |

When you first start off, you will select either of 2 game modes, The Witcher or New adventures. If you choose The Witcher, you will watch a long cinematic movie. They say The Witcher is a role-playing game. But it seems to me that it's sort of similar to my favorite game of all time, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. |
