「まあまあの映画」の紹介

前特殊部隊隊員という肩書きを持つフランク・マーティンの今度の部隊はフロリダ州・マイアミだ。彼の今回の任務は簡単で、ジャックという子供の車での送り迎えだ。確かに簡単そうに聞こえる。しかしフランクが朝早くジャックを歯医者に連れて行くと、そこでとんでもない事件が起こるのだった。そして否応にも、フランクはそれに関わってしまう。
　これは前編とは比較にもならないひどい仕上がりになっています。この続編の何がそんなにダメかというと、そのアクションです。まさしくまるでジェニファー・ロペスの音楽ビデオでも見ているような感じのアクションです。ジェイソン・ステイサムは武道家ではないものの、このシリーズでは彼のアクションに特に力を入れています。ところがこの映画では、まるでロボットがダンスでもしているかのような計算された動きが丸見えです。加えて脚本もひどく、話の先行きの予想も簡単についてしまいます。
　この続編でただ一つほっとすることと言ったら、例のあの風変わりなフランス人の刑事が今回も登場することです。彼はフランスからフランクを訪ねて来ることになっています。

Frank Martin, an ex-Special Forces operative, is back in business in Miami. This time, he has an easy job. All he has to do is to drive young boy Jack between school and home back and forth. It sounds simple, but when he takes Jack to a dentist's one morning, something terrible awaits them, and Frank innocently gets in trouble again.
     It's terribly worse than the first one. What's so bad about this sequel is its action. It's just like watching Jennifer Lopez's music video. Every move Jason Statham, who is not really a martial artist anyway, makes is calculated, and his entire action looks like dance performance by a robot. Besides, the story is boring and quite predictable.
     The only good news about the movie is that French detective from the previous movie will appear again. He will appear as a tourist visiting Frank all the way from France.
