「まあまあの映画」の紹介

弁護士のチャーリー・アーグリストはカンザス州のウィチタで弁護士をしている。この晩はクリスマスイブで、彼と友人のヴィック・キャバノアには祝うべきことが一つある。彼等はカンザスシティーの暴力団から214万7千ドル（日本円に換算して約2億3千万円）を横領したばかりだ。チャーリーに言わせれば、完全犯罪は可能で、捕まる心配など全くしていない。ところが誰かが自分達のことを尋ね歩いていうのを目撃すると、チャーリーは急に不安になる。
　Connie Nielsen（Gladiator、One Hour、Return to Sender、Great Raid）が出演するということで楽しみにしていたものの、この映画はあまりよくありません。シナリオが完璧ではありませんね。約2百万ドルを横領したというものの、どうやってそんな大金を簡単に手に入れたかの説明もありません。

Charlie Arglist is a lawyer in Wichita, Kansas. It's Christmas Eve, and he and his friend Vic Cavanaugh have something to celebrate. They just embezzled $2,147,000 from a Kansas City mob. Charlie believes a perfect crime is possible and assumes that he is no way of being caught. But when he sees one man asking about their whereabouts, he fears that they are after him.
     This movie isn't very good. The story is not fully explained. They embezzled some $2 millions, but you are left with no explanation as how they did it?
