If you see 'The license key is good' above the button, then you are good to go. Next time you launch WatermarQue Plus, you will not be required to validate your license.
4. Using WatermarQue Plus
If you have used WatermarQue, you should already know that you need to import image clips by dragging and dropping them onto the image list all at a time or one after another. WatermarQue Plus reads the following graphic formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, PDF, PNG, PSD (Photoshop) and TIFF. Note that it doesn't read the PICT format.
Before you drag and drop graphic files, make sure that files have right extensions. WatermarQue identifies readable formats with extensions consisting precisely of three letters. If a file has an extension of JPEG, WatermarQue will not read it. Therefore, you need to change it to JPG. Likewise, change TIFF to TIF. If you import a readable file, you will see a check mark (√) under status in the listbox. If you import an alias of a readable graphic image, WatermarQue will recognize it. But the status will indicate X, meaning it cannot be watermarked.
Next, you want to drag and drop one of the actual clips that are shown in the listbox or any onto the 'Drop here' box. But you don't have to. This dropped clip will be used as a reference so that you will know where and how to design a watermark.
Before design a watermark, you should adjust the canvas dimensions. The first set of numbers shown on the side bar (shown as 1 in the image above) indicates the current dimensions of the graphic image displayed on the canvas. The canvas will always open at 800 x 600 pixels at first. There is a pair of edit boxes right below (shown as 2). The default values are 800 and 600. Enter numbers, if necessary, to change the dimensions of the canvas screen. The last pair of numbers indicates the original dimensions of the dropped image (shown as 3). Press Return to execute the change when you alter width and height.
Now that the canvas dimensions are set, it's time for you to design a watermark. As long as you have the right dimensions, what you see on the canvas is what you get on exported images. Unlike the free version, WatermarQue Plus will let you change the opacity of a watermark. But you cannot rotate it.
Before exporting watermarked images, there are two more steps that you have to take. (1) Set the destination of exported files. (2) Select a graphic format. WatermarQue Plus supports four graphic formats: BMP, JPEG, PICT and PNG. Finally, if you click on MarQue It!, WatermarQue Plus will start batch-exporting images with the watermark of your design.
If you want to start over with a new set of graphic images, there are two things that you should do. (1) Remove the dropped image. Simply, click on Drop on the side bar. You may also want to clear the listbox by clicking on Clear. If it's just a file or two, select them in the listbox individually and click on Remove.
