
ScreenEdit is no match to Apple's QuickTime Pro. Nonetheless, Just like QuickTime Pro, ScreenEdit lets you edit QuickTime movies by copying, cutting, pasting and trimming frames. It also lets you re-compress QuickTime movies with such QuickTime built-in compressors as Animation, DV, H.264, MPEG-4 (Part 2).
An exclusive feature of ScreenEdit is Split. ScreenEdit allows users to split an movie into upto 19 segments in equal length plus another one with remaining length.

ScreenEdit now officially accepts multimedia containers such as AVI, DV, M4V, MP4, MPEG and WMV (with the free version of Flip4Mac QuickTime component or better) on top of MOV for the Mac version. The Windows version ScreenEdit accepts only a few multimedia containers including MOV.

A new property for the Slide function that is shown as 'Number of frames' is added. The number of frames determines the speed of animation. The higher the number is, the speed of transition will get slower.
