Multiple URL lists

When you first use QuickMarks, you will start with just one URL list.  So if you stack a few dozen URL profiles, QuickMarks can occupy the entire desktop vertically.  A solution to adding an unlimited number of bookmarks is to create additional URL lists.  To do so, choose New from File.  (See Screenshot 4-10.)  Then the main window will hide itself, replaced by a different one.  Simply, name a URL list.

Note that there are some characters that you cannot use to name a URL list.  Also, QuickMarks will prevent you from creating multiple URL lists sharing the same name.  If the name is unacceptable, a red symbol will apepar in real time.  (See Screenshot 4-11.)  And the button below will become unclickable.  In other words, if the name is accepable, the Create button will become clickable.  (See Screenshot 4-12.)

Having created a new URL list doesn't mean that you are currently using it.  In order to actually use any of URL lists, you must switch lists.  And whenever you create a new URL list, its name will be added to File > Open.  (See Screenshot 4-13.)  So if you want to switch to a particular URL list, simply choose it there.  Whenever you switch to a new URL list, you will start with a blank window as you haven't added any bookmarks yet.

When you switch to a user-defined URL list, its name will apear at the top of the main application window.  (See Screenshot 4-14.)  If the current URL list is the default one that you have initially started with, this name will appear as 'QuickMarks.'  The default URL list cannot be deleted.  And it cannot renamed, either.  In other words, user-defined URL lists can be deleted.  And they can also be renamed.

In order to rename a URL list, you must first make it the current one.  Then choose Rename under File.  (See Screenshot 4-15.)  And simply rename it.  The Rename button will be automatically disabled in real time if the name hasn't changed.

In order to delete a URL list, likewise, such URL list must be the current one.  Then choose Delete under File.  (See Screenshot 4-17.)  If you have enabled 'Confirm list deletion' in Preferences, you will be prompted for confirmation.  (See Screenshot 4-18.)  Or QuickMarks will immediately delete the current URL list along with all URL profiles under it.
