How to Watch Video Tutorials

Beta running, finally...

When you browse to our weblog and find an article describing a video tutorial, you should see two buttons in red and green at the bottom of the page.  (See Figure 1.)  The green button is for members.

We also have several dozen video tutorials for guests.  If you are a member, all you have to do is to click on the green button.  Then sign in.  (See Figure 2.)  After signing in, you will be forwarded to a page with a video tutorial embeded.

For visitors, there are two different buttons.  If a video tutorial is open to guests, the button should look like the one to the left.  If it's not, the word Guests should be dimmed out.  In order to watch video tutorials, guests must have an account at MacHouse Forums.  By clicking on a red button, guests will be forwarded to the tutorial section there.  (See Figure 3.)

Note that these video tutorials are open to guests so that they can post topics and exchange information.  You are never asked to do anything against your will.  If you do not wish to waste your time participating in discussions, showing off your own videos, answering surveys at machouse.mhvt.net or posting your own tutorials at forums.mhvt.net, then you are advised not to waste any more minute of your valuable time here.  You probably want to go instead to any of the following websites.

  • Lynda.com (lynda.com)
  • Total Training (totaltraining.com)
  • Computer Training Software (computer-training-software.com)

They make great video tutorials, and you aren't required to participate in discussions.
