It's okay if you don't like Christine O'Donnell.  In fact, we've developed CopyReady so that we will have quick access to short programming code lines that we repeatedly use in developing Mac apps.  They are now just one click away.  Well, we don't even have to click anywhere just to see them.

Version History:

2.2.5 to 2.2.6 (September 10, 2011)

  1. Fix: The application initialized user preference settings when the user closed the main window (with the red button at the top left corner) and then choose File > Quit instead of just choosing Quit.

2.2.3 to 2.2.5 (September 9, 2011)

  1. Fix: Due to unknown changes to IDE software or Mac OS, when the user clicked on the copy button or chose 'Copy It' for the second time, the application failed to copy text to into the clipboard.
  2. Fix: When the user attempted to drag and drop a text item or an image item onto the drop box, the application could crash.

Please note that it may take Mac App Store several days to weeks or even months to review this update.

2.2.0 to 2.2.3 (August 10, 2011)

  1. The application is compatible with Mac OS X Lion.
  2. Change: The menu title Copy Ready (to the right of Reorder) is changed to Copy Items.
  3. Fix: The user could not reopen the Text Clipper window once it was closed.
  4. Fix: The Text Clipper window could could disappear after the user switches applications and then comes back to CopyReady.
  5. The user can now minimize the main window.
  6. Several other minor changes are done.

2.1.3 to 2.2.0 (May 5, 2011)

  1. Change: The application restarts itself when the user closes Preferences.
  2. In order to enhance its stability, the application now stores some of the Preferences settings in an encrypted database.  For existing users, when the application starts up for the first time with this update, some of the Preferences settings will be initialized.  CopyReady Assistant lets existing users see the last settings so that they can work on Preferences settings with this software update.  Click here to download CopyReady Assistant 1.0.
  3. Properties window is redesigned to some extent.  The Z field show the relative size of the current graphic viewer to original image dimensions.  Click here for more information.
  4. A set of new features is available for image copy items.  When the current zoom ratio is 1.0, clicking on any pixel over the graphic viewer with the Mouse pointer will let the application copy the corresponding color value to the clipboard.  Before selecting any pixel, choose a color mode.  For example, with 'hexadecimal color' selected, clicking on the image will let the application copy the corresponding hexadecimal representation of color information on the selected pixel to the clipboard.
  5. A new feature is available for text copy items.  Right-button-clicking on a text copy item will give the user two new commands.  Choose 'Send It To TextEdit,' and CopyReady will open a new TextEdit document with the selected text copy item.  Click here for more information.
  6. Choose 'Send It To MS Word,' and provided that Microsoft Word is currently running, CopyReady will open a new Microsoft Word document with the selected text copy item.  'Send It To MS Word' will remain disabled if CopyReady does not find MS Word in user's computer.

  2. Preferences: A new checkbox (Confirm clipboard imports) is installed under Settings. Enable this checkbox, and the user will be prompted for confirmation every time they import text or graphics. Without it, the user would have no idea what changes have been made after choosing GopyReady > Get Text From Clipboard or CopyReady > Get Image From Clipboard unconsciously.
