| A-Cownts - Tutorials |
1. Installation You can install A-Cownts anywhwere on your internal hard disk drive. You should create an independent folder and put the application icon in it. You can name this folder anything you like. Then... Double-click on the application to launch it. When you first launch A-Cownts, it will create the default file labeld acownts.acw inside the same volume or folder where A-Cownts was first launched.
If you want to relocate A-Cownts somewhere else, then you need to take the default file with it. Or A-Cownts will install another copy of acownts.acw on which data are and will be stored. In other words, if you want to back up your data, all you need is this storage file.
2. Using A-Cownts When you first launch A-Cownts, you will see the main window of the application. This is where a majority of actions will take place in storing data. Every record (account) can store up to 12 fields such as title, username, password, e-mail account, website, any of which can be left blank except the title. That is, every account must have a title. Creating an account doesn't require you to fill other fields.
Shown at the top left corner of the main window is a box which displays a list of accounts partially. This box, Listbox, lists accounts that you have created in terms of titles, usernames and websites. If Listbox is filled with more records (20) that it can display at a time, then a vertical slider will appear. Accounts that are displayed in Listbox are not sorted. They are sorted by the date and time when they were recorded. In order to sort records by title, simply click on the title label. Likewise, accounts can be sorted by usernames and websites.
