About MacHouse

Tom Bluewater founded MacHouse in May, 2005.  He remains as the lead software programmer and video tutorial developer at MacHouse since.

MacHouse has been developing software programs for Mac and Windows only since April 2, 2009.  Tom Bluewater had no prior software-programming experience before.  Zero experienc and zero basis...  That should tell you not to trust him.  Since we have little programming experience, we intend to release most of our software program as freeware tiles as opposed to shareware ones.

MacHouse specializes itself in making video tutorials for Mac-only applications and Adobe products.  We won't waste viewer's time in showing how to start the application, how to open a new document or repeating the same thing over and over.

We are no professionals. None of us is a graphic artist. We have no artistic values to show off.  None of us has an Apple or Adobe training certificate.  All the video tutorials you find here come out of one man's brain.  The lead tutor is Tom Bluewater.  He is nothing but a veteran Mac user using Mac computers since September, 1991.  As he is an economist, we solve problems with logical thoughts.  It only takes him a few hours to learn how to use a simple application.  Again, he is not a professional in any field.  How long has he been using Adobe After Effects?  Just since mid-January, 2007.  It's no secret that he is an Adobe After Effects amateur.  How about Apple Motion? Umm... Perhaps since mid-March, 2007...  If Tom Bluewater can do it, you can do it, too.  And our video tutorials show that you can.

None of our graphic or cinematic works is perfect.  Most of the sample movies are roughly created in conjunction with video tutorials.  We only spend 5 or 10 minutes to create a work when in fact other video tutorials would spend 2 or 3 hours for the same job.  We provide basics, and if you want, you can spend hours, days or weeks making better sample movies and show them off at MacHouse Forums > Video showcase.

Finally, we use the following Mac applications to make and edit videos: Adobe After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro & Motion, Boris RED, Cinema 4D, Kinemac, ParticleIllusion and more.  Every year, we edit about 200 short clips with Final Cut Pro.

MacHouse is unfortunately and unhappily located in Japan.
